Webflow Conf '24

I designed and built the site for Webflow Conf 2024 on Webflow’s Brand team. Webflow Conf is the company’s annual conference, and in 2024 it ran three times in one week: October 15 and 16 in San Francisco, the same two days as a free online livestream, and October 21 and 22 in London. The site carried the event from the first announcement to the archive: three tickets to sell, speaker and sponsor lineups that filled in over the summer, and then the recordings and the launch recap once the talks were over.

How might one conference site sell three different tickets across two continents, keep up with a lineup that changes every week, and become the event’s archive the morning after it ends?

A conference site runs on a schedule the team doesn’t control. It launches before the speakers are confirmed, its tickets sell out at different times in different cities, and it has to keep working the day after the event, when the same URL becomes the place people go for recordings. Both in-person events sold out and more than 20,000 people registered, so at every stage the site had to say plainly what was still open and what wasn’t.

The design used the 2024 conference brand as it was: white display type on black, one blue that runs from the ribbons of light in the hero to the three city cards, and a grid of photo, quote and number tiles under Connect, Learn and Celebrate that could take fifty-plus sessions and a growing speaker list without a redesign.
